Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the IMC, PCU, or Stepdown units, managing various cardiac and post-procedure cases.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage cardiac drips without titration, and perform sheath removal.
• Manage chest tubes, external airway devices like CPAP/BIPAP, and non-invasive oxygen therapy.
• Adhere to protocols for various cardiac diagnoses such as Atrial Fibrillation, CHF, ACS, and post-cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Follow unit-specific procedures, including sheath management, Wound Care, and Ventilator management.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of direct experience on a cardiac unit (IMC/PCU/Stepdown) required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with cardiac telemetry, sheath removal, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management.
• Traveler experience preferred unless candidate has over 24 months of cardiac experience.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Management of arterial lines and wound vacs.
• Charge nurse experience and experience with special procedures such as TAVR, Mitral Clip, LAAO, and vascular surgeries.
• Familiarity with Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR communication systems.

Additional Notes

• No offsite work or RTO allowed after booking; any additional RTO could result in cancellation.
• Shift includes float requirements aligned with unit rotation; flexible weekends (4 per 4 weeks).
• Contract staff may be assigned to storm or disaster response teams and could be repositioned during catastrophic events.
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start.
• Interview availability required within 72 hours of submission.
