• Full-time, Night shifts, 36 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care to medical-surgical/telemetry patients within established protocols.
• Monitor patient vitals, administer medications, including Heparin and Insulin, and document appropriately.
• Utilize hospital systems such as Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR for medication administration and patient communication.
• Assist in patient assessments, contribute to care planning, and ensure patient safety during night shifts.
• Float to similar units as needed, at least once a week, supporting hospital staffing requirements.
• Work every other weekend and be available during holidays, with flexibility for storm or disaster response if required.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting.
• Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Ability to pass EKG testing specific to this specialty.
• Experience with medication management systems such as Pyxis.
• Strong documentation and communication skills using EPIC and SBAR.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience handling Heparin infusions and Insulin administration.
• Ability to adapt to floating between units and work in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Comfort working night shifts and responding to emergency or disaster scenarios.
