• Full-time, 12-hour shifts, nights, travel assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a high-acuity IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit focusing on cardiac surgery patients.
• Monitor and manage complex cardiac patients using a variety of medical equipment including telemetry, ventilators, and IV pumps.
• Administer medications such as drips (heparin, diltiazem, amiodarone, etc.) per protocol.
• Perform procedures including chest tube management, pacer wire removal, and 12-lead EKGs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record system.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU/PCU nursing experience.
• ACLS certification.
• Experience with cardiac patient care and drips management.
• Proficiency with telemetry monitoring and specialty equipment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a cardiac surgery or high-acuity stepdown unit.
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR or equivalent systems.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
