Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate nursing care to patients in a Medical Surgical unit.
- Assess patient conditions and administer medications according to physician orders.
- Monitor patient recovery and assist with procedures as needed.
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record system.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
- Ensure compliance with safety and hospital policies.
Required Qualifications
- Valid and current RN licensure.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a hospital setting.
- Ability to perform MedSurg assessments and pharmacology assessments.
- Proficiency with Meditech electronic health records.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a Neuro or Stroke unit.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Strong team player with positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
