- Travel, 13-week assignment, full-time, day shifts, 12 hours per shift
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized perioperative nursing care in a busy orthopedic and spine surgery unit.
- Assist in a variety of procedures including joint replacements, arthroscopic sports medicine, spine repairs, and fusion surgeries.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient patient care delivery.
- Adhere to unit policies, safety protocols, and maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Demonstrate adaptability and professionalism in a fast-paced environment with diverse team members.
- Support patient recovery and monitor post-operative progress for orthopedic and spine procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the state of Colorado or the ability to obtain one.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent OR nursing experience.
- Hands-on experience with orthopedic, spine, and joint replacement procedures.
- Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and EMR systems.
- Must have orthopedic, sports medicine, or spine surgery experience.
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, starting at 7:00 AM.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with hip preservation procedures such as PAO cases.
- Familiarity with intraoperative equipment used in orthopedic and spine surgeries.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Previous travel nursing experience is a plus.
