Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to medical surgical patients in a Level I trauma center
- Manage PICC lines and starting IVs, ensuring patient safety and compliance with protocols
- Float within scope to meet facility needs and accommodate patient ratios, including up to 1:7 if necessary
- Document patient care using Cerner charting system
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Support patients requiring trach and laryngectomy care, with willingness to learn and adapt
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of medical surgical RN experience
- Active Illinois RN license
- BLS certification required
- Experience with PICC line management and starting IVs
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Cerner electronic health record experience
- Willingness to care for trach and laryngectomy patients and learn related procedures
