- Full-time, 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide critical care nursing in ICU settings, including neuro or cardiovascular units
- Manage high-acuity patients such as stroke, post-surgical, or cardiac cases
- Utilize advanced skills with EVDSs, NI patients, CRRT, balloon pumps, swans, and surgical recovery
- Follow patient care plans, monitor vital signs, and respond to patient needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document care activities accurately and maintain compliance with clinical protocols
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license
- Minimum of 3 years of critical care experience in high-acuity ICU settings
- Experience in CV ICU, Neuro ICU, or Cardiac ICU with knowledge of stroke care, advanced heart failure, and surgical recovery
- Certifications: BLS, NIHSS, ALCS
- Experience with EVDSs, NI patients, and high-acuity procedures
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with stroke-certified programs
- Familiarity with CRRT, balloon pumps, Swans
- Strong understanding of stroke, neuro, and cardiac patient care
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced critical care environment
