Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a 42-bed Stroke and Heart Failure unit, managing complex neuro-cardiac conditions.
- Float to various units and hospitals as needed, ensuring continuity of patient care.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and neurologists to maintain high standards of clinical practice.
- Follow established protocols for stroke, heart failure, and neuro-cardiac patient management.
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system.
- Cover 12-hour shifts during scheduled days, working approximately 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Nursing.
- Valid Alabama RN license or Compact license (no temporary licenses accepted).
- BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
- Minimum of 2 years’ RN experience (considering 18 months with specialized neuro-cardiac experience).
- Experience working with neuro and cardiac patient populations preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in medical-surgical and telemetry units.
- Ability to float between units and adapt to different clinical settings.
- Strong clinical skills in stroke, heart failure, and neuro-cardiac patient management.
