• Full-time, Night shifts (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), Nights

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized orthopedic nursing care for pre-operative and post-operative patients.
• Manage care for elective and trauma orthopedic patients, including those with hip, knee, and shoulder replacements and repairs.
• Utilize EPIC EMR system for documentation and patient tracking.
• Assist with the use of orthopedic equipment such as CPM, knee immobilizers, and bone foam.
• Support safe patient handling and adhere to safety protocols during care delivery.
• Potential to float to different facilities within the health system as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid nursing license in state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with orthopedic and trauma experience required.
• BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Experience with EPIC EMR.
• Ability to pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam prior to start.
• Knowledge of orthopedic procedures including total hip, knee, and shoulder cases.
• Use of rapid response teams and emergency protocol familiarity.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with orthopedic trauma and elective surgeries.
• Familiarity with orthopedic patient equipment (e.g., CPM, immobilizers).
• Prior experience working in a hospital or acute care setting.
