Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients, including chemotherapy administration.
• Start IVs and monitor patient responses during inpatient oncology treatments.
• Ensure safety and compliance with all clinical protocols and certifications.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver patient-centered care.
• Follow all unit-specific procedures and maintain a safe, compassionate environment.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license with WV or a Compact State license (pending licenses are acceptable).
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, preferably in oncology or infusion therapy.
• Certified in BLS and ONS chemotherapy/bio safety, with certifications via the American Heart Association.
• At least 1 year of inpatient oncology experience, including IV start skills.
• Chemo/Bio certification required.
• Experience with Cerner EMR system preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Travel experience is not required.
• Experience with inpatient oncology care and chemotherapy administration is highly valued.
• Knowledge of additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS is a plus.

• This position is a 13-week contract with the possibility of extension.
