Full-time, Day shifts, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide postoperative care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients within a Level I Trauma Center
• Monitor and manage patients requiring artificial airways, invasive monitoring (including ICP), transfusions, and vasoactive drugs
• Collaborate with surgical teams to recover patients post-neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, orthopedics, thoracic, vascular, trauma, general, colorectal, GYN, urological, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and transplant procedures
• Float within scope to PACU or Pre-Op units as needed
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during recovery in a 24/7, 38-bed unit

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri or a compact state (Illinois not a compact) in hand at submission
• Critical care experience in an inpatient, acute setting; experience in a Level I Trauma Center preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience with invasive monitoring, blood product administration, IV starts, vasopressors, ICP monitoring, and ventilated patient care

Preferred Experience / Skills

• EPIC charting system experience
• Trauma experience, multi-specialty surgical recovery background
• Ability to work night shifts and learn pre-op patient workflow (night shift positions)
