Full-time, night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown units, including post-cardiac cath and complex cardiac patients.
• Float to various units as part of the assigned float team, covering 1st to appropriate units based on patient needs.
• Administer IV medications, including insulin drips and cardiac drips, and perform starting IVs.
• Monitor patients closely with telemetry equipment, manage ventilators, and respond to rapid changes in patient conditions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and comply with facility protocols.
• Document patient care accurately using the EPIC system, and assist with unit procedures such as phlebotomy and infusion management.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of New York.
• Minimum of 1 year of telemetry or PCU experience.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications, NIHSS certification required prior to start.
• Experience with insulin and cardiac drips, post-cardiac cath care, and invasive monitoring.
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and participate in holiday coverage.
• Reliable transportation, as public transit is not available in the area.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in a Level 2 trauma center or teaching hospital.
• Familiarity with advanced cardiac procedures and telemetry protocols.
