Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care in a 23-bed Cardiac ICU for complex heart patients, including VAD and transplant cases
• Float within the hospital or to nearby facilities, covering cardiac stepdown units and PICU
• Collaborate with healthcare team to deliver quality patient care for critically ill cardiac patients
• Adhere to unit-specific protocols, including telemetry and ventilator management
• Maintain compliance with certification requirements and hospital policies

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU or specialized cardiac care experience
• Active RN license in hand prior to start date (temporary licenses may be obtainable)
• Current BLS and PALS certifications
• Proficiency in telemetry, ventilator management, and complex patient monitoring
• Must be able to work every other weekend and 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Valid SSN and DOB required at submittal

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a cardiac ICU, cardiac stepdown, or PICU setting
• Previous float nursing experience within hospital or healthcare systems
• Ability to adapt quickly to unit protocols and certification curricula

Additional Notes
