Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Night shifts (4x12 hours)

Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized care for cardiovascular ICU patients, including post-cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery, and cardiology cases.
• Manage complex cardiac procedures such as CABG, TAVR, SAVR, MVR, and VATS, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias, arterial lines, and central lines while titrating vasoactive and cardiac drips.
• Provide ventilator management and care for ventilated patients, including intra-aortic balloon pump and ventricular assist devices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive cardiovascular and oncology patient care.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including blood administration, sheath removal, and equipment management.

Required Qualifications
• Valid Indiana RN license (must be in hand prior to start date)
• Minimum of 18 months of RN experience in critical care or ICU settings, preferably CVICU
• ACLS and BCLS certifications required; NIH preferred
• Ability to interpret complex cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmias
• Willingness to float within scope across units as needed
• Proven experience with post-cardiac surgery care and advanced ICU procedures

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Previous charge nurse experience in a CVICU or similar critical care unit
• Certification or training in intra-aortic balloon pump, TAVR, or ventricular assist devices
• Experience with Telemetry monitoring and ventilator management in a critical care environment
