Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications to patients in compliance with state regulations and facility policies.
- Assist with patient care activities, including feeding, repositioning, and toileting under GNA license scope.
- Recognize individual patient needs, routines, and preferences to deliver personalized care.
- Float within hospital units as needed, maintaining flexibility to cover various departments.
- Attend all required orientations and adhere strictly to attendance and punctuality policies, including every other holiday work schedule.
- Follow all safety and documentation procedures accurately and timely.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Maryland or Compact State license as a Certified Medication Technician.
- Maryland Certified Medicine Aide (CMA) certification.
- At least 1 year of experience in a long-term care or similar healthcare environment.
- Good understanding of patient care procedures and medication administration.
- Ability to follow strict policies regarding attendance and punctuality.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working with dementia or residents with cognitive impairments in household units.
- Experience performing duties under a GNA license, including feeding and toileting.
- Able to work flexible hours, including every other holiday, with understanding of blackout dates for RTO requests.
