Key Responsibilities
• Perform and document comprehensive perioperative nursing care, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and elimination.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient transfer, discharge planning, referrals, and psychosocial support.
• Educate patients and families on care plans tailored to their age, culture, and medical conditions.
• Advocate for patients’ physical and emotional well-being throughout the perioperative process.

Required Qualifications
• Current Tennessee RN license or multi-state compact RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of 2 years recent Operating Room RN experience.
• Knowledge of general surgery, orthopedic procedures (including total joints), OB/GYN, and endoscopy.
• Experience covering C-sections and recovery of general surgery patients, including those with ETTs.
• Ability to work day shifts from 6:45 AM to 3:00 PM.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior experience in a community hospital setting.
• Familiarity with OR protocols excluding robotic surgeries.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment.
