Key Responsibilities
• Assist in surgical procedures by preparing sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies under professional nurse supervision
• Anticipate the surgeon’s preferences for materials and instruments, ensuring readiness in advance
• Set up and maintain sterile fields, monitor sterility, and manage supplies to support quality patient care
• Reassemble and process instruments and equipment, preparing items for sterilization as needed
• Update the nursing team on equipment needs and patient care considerations, demonstrating sound clinical judgment
• Provide backup support for emergency surgeries and participate in departmental committees or projects

Required Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited surgical technologist training program
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST)
• Current BLS certification

Preferred Experience / Skills
• At least 1 year of surgical tech experience preferred
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and surgical instrumentation
• Proficiency in sterile technique, patient positioning, and handling intraoperative requests
