Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to obstetrical patients, including routine and high-risk antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care
- Monitor and manage labor and delivery processes, including scheduled and unscheduled cesarean sections and cervical cerclage procedures
- Perform sterile vaginal exams, assist with frequent patient admits, and ensure immediate newborn care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team utilizing electronic medical records and other hospital systems
- Assist with outpatient procedures such as fetal surveillance, IV hydration, and medication administration
- Maintain patient safety and adhere to clinical protocols in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina or Compact license with valid in-hand licensing at start
- BLS, AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced, and NRP certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery or high-volume obstetrical care experience, preferably 3 years for comfort with unit demands
- Experience with circulating in OR settings preferred
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in large, high-volume obstetrical units
- Familiarity with hospital systems such as EPIC, PYXIS, and SBAR communication
- Strong competence in sterile vaginal exams and immediate newborn care

Additional Notes
- No RTO allowed during the first week for orientation; RTO requests up to 7 days may be auto-approved if not during holidays
- Travel compliance includes completing testing within 48 hours of signing
- Rotation includes every other weekend, with a minimum of six weekend shifts per schedule
- Candidates must be comfortable floating within the hospital or nearby affiliate units as needed
- This role is for night shifts, 12 hours each, with a maximum of 3 shifts per week
