- Full-time, 12-hour night shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exemplary nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients, focusing on telemetry and post-op recovery.
- Administer medications, IV starts, and monitor patient vital signs.
- Document patient care accurately on electronic health records using systems like EPIC.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and float across units as needed.
- Adhere to unit protocols, safety standards, and shift-specific procedures.
- Participate in self-scheduling and potentially work during emergencies such as storms or disasters.
Required Qualifications
- Active NC or Compact Nursing License in hand at start.
- Minimum of 2 years recent medical-surgical nursing experience.
- Experience with IV starts and telemetry monitoring.
- Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start.
- Certification in BCLS required; ACLS and NIH preferred.
- Pass travel compliance requirements including lab within 48 hours of signing.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Additional certifications like ACLS and NIH.
- Prior travel nursing experience.
- Experience with Pyxis medication system and EPIC electronic health records.
- Comfortable floating within hospital units and handling high patient ratios.
