Job Title
• Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Night shifts, 12-hour shifts (3 days per week)

Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality nursing care to medical/surgical patients, including medication administration and patient monitoring.
• Administer and manage medications such as Heparin and Insulin in accordance with protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members using systems like EPIC, Pyxis, and SBAR for documentation and communication.
• Float to similar units as needed, maintaining flexibility across different hospital departments.
• Ensure adherence to patient care procedures, including Heparin infusions and insulin management.
• Comply with hospital policies regarding RTO, holiday coverage, and emergency response protocols.

Required Qualifications
• Valid North Carolina or Compact state nursing license, in hand at start.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant RN experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to pass an EKG test specific to this specialty.
• Experience with medication systems such as Pyxis and documentation through EPIC.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior experience working in hospital settings with medical/surgical patients.
• Familiarity with medication management, particularly Heparin and Insulin drips.
• Comfortable floating between units and adapting to various patient care needs.
