• Night shifts, 4 days per week, 12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15)
• Full-time, Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care within the IMC, PCU, and Stepdown units, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret dysrhythmias, and manage related emergencies
• Administer medications, including cardiac and vasoactive drips, following protocols
• Manage invasive lines such as central lines, PICC lines, arterial lines, and provide post-procedure care
• Use Cerner electronic charting system accurately and efficiently
• Float to similar units as needed to meet hospital operational requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license required at the time of submission
• Minimum of 18 months of recent acute care experience in IMC, telemetry, or stepdown units
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; AHA or Red Cross only
• Cardiac monitoring experience, including dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Skills in IV therapy, including PICC line and arterial line management
• Knowledge of post-cardiac procedure care (angiograms, cath, surgery) and gastrointestinal, renal, and respiratory patient care

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with trauma centers and teaching hospitals
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system proficiency
• Experience with surgical drains and trauma cases

Additional Notes

• Candidates must have active Illinois licensure in hand at the time of submission
• Shower experience floating within hospital and to affiliate hospitals is mandatory
• Travel compliance, background checks, and onboarding modules required prior to start
• Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the contract period
