Job Title

• Medical Laboratory Technologist / Clinical Lab Scientist

Key Responsibilities

• Perform analyses on blood and other body fluids for diagnostic and treatment purposes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare specimens, correctly identify samples, log information, and ensure proper testing as ordered.
• Conduct manual and automated tests to determine qualitative and quantitative results, adhering to quality control standards.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are operational and properly maintained.
• Review and verify test results for accuracy before release; repeat tests when necessary.
• Assist with training technical staff and participate in quality assurance activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
• Certified Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) with ASCP, AMT, NCCLS, or equivalent certification.
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques, safety procedures, and infection control standards.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a clinical laboratory setting is a plus but not required.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for instrumentation and procedural challenges.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with medical staff and patients.
