• Full-time, night shift, 3x12 hours

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients in a Level I trauma center.
• Manage PICC lines and administer IVs, demonstrating proficiency in starting IVs and PICC line management.
• Float within scope to meet facility needs and support patient care operations.
• Document patient care using Cerner electronic health record system.
• Willingness to learn and care for trach and laryngectomy patients as needed.
• Support up to a 1:7 patient ratio when required.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Valid Illinois State nursing license in hand.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience with PICC line management and starting IVs.
• Ability to work nights, including every other weekend and at least 2 major holidays per year.
• Must be able to complete compliance requirements including SSN, DOB, lab appointments, and badges prior to start.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cerner experience preferred.
• Experience caring for trach and laryngectomy patients or willingness to learn.
• Flexibility to float within hospital or to nearby facilities.
