Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) and Critical Care Unit (CCU)
  • Float between CCU and CVICU, with strong cardiac care expertise
  • Administer and monitor PA lines, transvenous pacing, and mechanical circulatory support devices such as IABP and Impella
  • Collaborate with medical teams on complex cardiac cases, surgical and medical patients
  • Adhere to all safety and clinical standards, including CPR and ACLS certification requirements
  • Document patient care accurately and maintain compliance with hospital policies

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Massachusetts RN license (must be active and verified at time of submission)
  • Strong experience in PA lines and transvenous pacing
  • Prior experience with cardiac or critical care nursing, including surgical or medical cardiac cases
  • Current CPR-AHA and ACLS-AHA certifications
  • Ability to float between units and work a rotating schedule

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience with mechanical circulatory support devices (IABP, Impella)
  • Prior experience working in a CVICU setting
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to a dynamic clinical environment

Additional Notes

  • No local travelers or candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be considered
  • Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays, with scheduling during the interview process
  • Guaranteed hours: 72 hours biweekly, exclusive of on-call time
  • Parking may be available at an additional cost of up to $43 per day
  • Candidates must be separated from previous employment at the facility for at least 6 months if previously employed there within the last 6 months
