Job Title

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, night shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to patients in a high-paced ER environment
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to urgent medical needs effectively
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record system
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver quality patient care
• Follow all facility protocols and safety guidelines during shift

Required Qualifications

• Valid WV or Compact RN license (pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in an emergency or acute care setting
• American Heart Association approved BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
• Must include current flu vaccination during flu season (October 2024 - March 2025) or be willing to decline vaccination (declinations not accepted)
• Cerner experience preferred
• Must be greater than 75 miles from the facility at submission (local candidates not accepted)
• Must include SSN, DOB, and permanent address on application

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a similar ER setting with patient ratios of approximately 1:4
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations

Additional Notes
Travelers must attach all required documentation including license, certifications, and current flu vaccination or application will be rejected. All shifts must be worked or made up during the same week or pay period. Prior Vandalia Health System employees are not eligible to return as travelers within 2 years of last employment.

Shift Details

• Night shift, 12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
