Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit.
- Assist with high-risk pregnancies and perform immediate newborn care.
- Support birthing processes including vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Follow unit protocols and maintain compliance with hospital policies.
- Utilize electronic fetal monitoring and other medical equipment effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Valid nursing license with state of North Carolina.
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery (L&D) experience.
- Current BLS/ACLS certifications.
- Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP).
- Experience with high-risk obstetrics and immediate newborn care.
- Ability to float to other maternity or neonatal units as needed.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Circulating nurse experience.
- Skilled in advanced fetal monitoring.
- Outgoing, friendly, and adaptable personality.
