Schedule / Job Type

• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, part-time (3 shifts per week)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process within the operating room.
• Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, and timely care for surgical patients.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient needs and responses during perioperative care.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document per policy.
• Meet patient and family education/discharge needs throughout their episode of care.
• Supervise and support LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.
• Complete required competency testing and education specific to patient populations and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years current experience in a large operating room setting.
• Ability to scrub in surgical procedures.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate as a team player.
• Successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment.
• Valid RN license in the state of New Mexico or a Compact State.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety & Health.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic medical records system (training available on-site).
• Knowledge/experience in orthopedics, EENT, or vascular surgeries.
• ACLS and PALS certifications are preferred.
