Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Location: Asheville, NC

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care to obstetric, neonatal, and gynecological patients in the Labor and Delivery unit.
• Monitor fetal well-being using electronic fetal monitoring equipment and manage labor progress.
• Assist with childbirth procedures such as vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.
• Support new mothers and their families through postpartum care and education.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• At least 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Current certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
• Experience with high-risk obstetric cases and immediate newborn care.
• Basic proficiency in fetal monitoring and circulating procedures is preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience in a Level II trauma or tertiary care hospital.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Outgoing and friendly personality with excellent communication skills.
