• Full-time, 3x12 or 4x12 days shifts (06:45 AM - 07:15 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a Level I trauma center hospital within the Med Surg unit.
• Manage PICC lines, starting IVs, and assist with trach and laryngectomy patient care, with willingness to learn.
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including potential up to 1:7 patient ratio.
• Adhere to hospital protocols and maintain documentation via Cerner charting system.
• Work scheduled weekends on a rotating basis and accommodate patient care needs.
• Ensure compliance with all certification and licensing requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Valid IL nursing license in hand.
• Minimum of 18 months of RN experience in a hospital setting, preferably in Med Surg.
• BLS certification required; AHA and Red Cross certifications preferred.
• Experience with PICC line management and starting IVs required.
• Ability to work flexible patient ratios, including willingness to take patients with trach and laryngectomy.
• Must complete onboarding modules before start date.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner charting system.
• Experience working in a Level I trauma or magnet hospital.
• Knowledge of hospital policies related to travel compliance and documentation.
