Job Title
• Registered Nurse - SICU

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Night shifts (12-hour shifts), 3 nights per week

Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized nursing care in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) for adult patients with complex medical conditions
• Manage critical care procedures including ventilator support, ICP monitoring, and vasoactive medication titration
• Monitor and respond to patient symptoms such as hemorrhagic shock, sepsis, stroke, and intracranial hypertension
• Perform procedures like external ventricular drain management, CRRT, and trachostomy care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Follow hospital protocols for patient safety and documentation

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, preferably in a surgical or oncology ICU setting
• Current Illinois or compact nursing license in hand at time of submission
• EPIC electronic medical record systems experience required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Willingness to comply with Ohio fingerprinting and credentialing requirements

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Oncology care experience (not required but preferred)
• Experience with complex neuro, trauma, or hemorrhagic stroke patients
• Knowledge of advanced critical procedures such as ICP monitoring, VTE management, and CRRT
