Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients in a medical-surgical and telemetry setting.
• Administer medications, including chemotherapy, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
• Perform specialized procedures such as brachytherapy and manage feeding tubes and IV therapies.
• Interpret telemetry readings, identify dysrhythmias, and respond promptly to changes in patient conditions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure a safe environment.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately using electronic health records, specifically EPIC.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license (compact or state) in Ohio at time of submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Med Surg/Tele nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation.
• Experience with chemotherapy administration and invasive procedures preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Certification through Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) related to chemotherapy.
• Experience with oncology-specific procedures such as brachytherapy.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and patient fall protocols.

Additional Information

• Shifts are 12 hours, alternating days and nights on a rotating schedule.
• Orientation includes a week of days followed by on-unit training with a preceptor.
• Travel and credentialing compliance are critical; candidates outside Ohio or with upcoming vacations should plan accordingly.
• References required: two professional references, including at least one from a leadership role.
• RNs must have valid Ohio or compact license in hand at submission.
