• Full-time, Night shifts, 4 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a busy medical surgical unit within an acute care hospital
• Monitor patient conditions using cardiac telemetry and respond to emergencies with Rapid Response Teams
• Manage gastrointestinal cases including colostomy care and feeding tube management
• Oversee pre/post-hemodialysis care and manage patients with renal failure
• Administer IV therapies such as blood products, insulin, heparin, and PCA medications
• Assist with neurological and psychiatric cases, including spinal cord injury management and surgical drains

Required Qualifications

• Valid Illinois RN license in hand
• Minimum 2 years of medical surgical nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and emergency response
• Proven skills in IV therapy, medication administration, and wound care
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and infection control practices

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Level I trauma center or similar acute care environment
• Familiarity with hospital charting systems (Cerner preferred)
• Ability to float within scope to other units as needed
• Ability to work within a fast-paced hospital setting and handle multiple complex cases
