Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type:

Full-time, 12-hour day and night shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients, primarily those diagnosed with acute leukemia and hematology conditions.
• Manage patient-centered tasks including infection prevention, fall prevention, and rapid response team activation.
• Administer medications, including blood products and IV therapies; manage central lines, PICC lines, and feeding tubes.
• Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and document patient progress using electronic charting systems.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure safe patient care and adherence to protocols.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Valid state or compact nursing license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Ability to interpret telemetry and dysrhythmias.
• Experience with IV therapy, blood draws, and patient assessments.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Oncology or hematology nursing experience.
• Certification or experience with ONS chemo cert and NIHSS.
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records and telemetry monitoring.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple patient needs.
