Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for patients undergoing cardiovascular, vascular, and transplant surgeries in the CVOR setting.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care accurately using electronic charting systems.
- Adhere to all safety and compliance protocols, including fingerprinting and credentialing requirements.
- Respond to calls and be flexible with shift hours, which may vary from 6:30 AM to 11:00 PM.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in cardiac, vascular, and transplant nursing.
- At least 1 year of CVOR experience.
- 1 year of experience in a Level I Trauma facility.
- BLS certification.
- Valid compact or state nursing license for Ohio (or eligible to transfer).
- Experience with EPIC electronic charting system.
- Must be flexible and able to work variable hours, including call shifts.
- Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting and credentialing prior to assignment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in an acute care or trauma environment.
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular, thoracic, vascular, and transplant procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
