Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for patients undergoing cardiovascular, vascular, and transplant surgeries in the CVOR setting.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately using electronic charting systems.
• Adhere to all safety and compliance protocols, including fingerprinting and credentialing requirements.
• Respond to calls and be flexible with shift hours, which may vary from 6:30 AM to 11:00 PM.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in cardiac, vascular, and transplant nursing.
• At least 1 year of CVOR experience.
• 1 year of experience in a Level I Trauma facility.
• BLS certification.
• Valid compact or state nursing license for Ohio (or eligible to transfer).
• Experience with EPIC electronic charting system.
• Must be flexible and able to work variable hours, including call shifts.
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting and credentialing prior to assignment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in an acute care or trauma environment.
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular, thoracic, vascular, and transplant procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
