Travel, 13-week assignment, full-time, overnight shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and compassionate patient care in a busy Medical Surgical unit
• Assist with procedures such as starting IVs, wound care, and maintaining surgical drains and chest tubes
• Utilize Meditech documentation system to accurately record patient information
• Collaborate with healthcare team to prioritize patient needs and ensure safety
• Float according to policy, providing coverage across units as needed
• Engage with patients and families to include them in care planning and ensure a positive bedside experience

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Tennessee
• BLS certification
• Med/Surg experience with ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Basic nursing skills including IV placement, wound care, and management of surgical drains

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a trauma or Level II trauma center is a plus
• Ability to work with advanced equipment such as telemetry monitors, infusion pumps, and portable imaging devices
• Strong communication skills and compassionate bedside manner

Notes
Candidates should be prepared to work 3 twelve-hour overnight shifts per week, including weekends, with a rotation that involves floating to other units as needed. The unit values experienced nurses who are adaptable, collaborative, and customer-focused.
