Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to ICU patients in a busy hospital setting.
• Monitor and manage ventilator and sedation levels, medication titration, and other critical procedures such as trach placement, bronchoscopy, and cardioversion.
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech system and communicate effectively with the healthcare team using AIDET and medication teaching.
• Collaborate with unit staff and float between units in rotation, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.
• Adhere to hospital policies, complete unit-specific documentation, and maintain compliance with safety and infection control protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of Tennessee.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience.
• Experience with ventilator management, sedation, and medication titration.
• Ability to work every other weekend and in a rotating schedule.
• Strong teamwork, problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with trauma, including Trauma III certification.
• Familiarity with GE monitors, Nova glucometers, Pyxis medication dispensing, and Dräger vents.
• Prior experience performing procedures such as trach placement, bronchoscopy, and cardioversion.
