Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to medical-surgical, orthopedic, spine, trauma, psychiatric hold, and dialysis patients.
• Monitor patient progress, administer medications, and perform assessments in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Use hospital equipment such as Alaris pumps, telemetry monitors, wound vacs, and specialty beds.
• Document patient information accurately in the Meditech system.
• Ensure compliance with unit policies and maintain a high standard of patient safety.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Tennessee or proper state license.
• At least 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience.
• BLS certification; ACLS preferred but optional.
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and manage a busy patient population.
• Strong assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills.
• Punctual, organized, team-oriented, and effective communicator.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Spine and Joint or Orthopedic unit.
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system.
• Ability to float within the unit’s discretion and handle various patient acuity levels.
