Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, 13-week assignment, Days shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to a diverse medical surgical patient population.
• Perform basic patient assessments, including monitoring wounds, tracheostomies, ostomies, drains, chest tubes, strokes, and seizures.
• Administer and monitor IV therapy, including Heparin drips and PCA pumps.
• Assist with post-operative care for procedures like amputations, ostomies, drain management, chest tubes, and wound vacs.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure safety, compliance, and optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care and interventions accurately in Meditech system.
• Adhere to infection control policies, including CVC and Foley device monitoring, and medication scanning protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license in the state of Tennessee.
• BLS certification.
• NIHSS certification.
• Ability to perform patient assessments and handle general care duties for complex patients.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with wound care, post-op procedures, and ventilator management.
• Familiarity with dialysis or PCA pump management.
• Prior experience in a hospital setting with a focus on surgical or acute care units.
