• Full-time, 12-hour Day and Night shifts, rotating weekends and holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized critical care to patients in the Cardiac ICU, including patients post-cardiac surgery or with complex cardiac conditions.
• Float within units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed, ensuring consistent and high-quality patient care.
• Administer medications, monitor vitals, and manage advanced cardiac equipment such as Vents, Swan Ganz, and balloon pumps.
• Perform IV starts, telemonitoring, and conscious sedation with proficiency.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to unit policies and protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Valid compact or state nursing license in Ohio at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a Cardiac ICU.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with IV start, Tele, Vents, Swan Ganz, conscious sedation, balloon pumps, and PA lines.
• Epic electronic medical records experience.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel or float experience preferred.
• Previous experience working with seasonal or high-acuity cardiac patients.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different unit workflows and protocols.
