Full-time, nights (3 shifts per week)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide labor and delivery nursing care in a busy OB hospital setting.
- Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs, utilizing external fetal monitoring.
- Recognize and respond to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.
- Circulate for cesarean sections and support obstetric procedures.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of RN experience in labor and delivery.
- Valid California RN license.
- Certification in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced.
- Experience using external fetal monitoring and recognizing fetal distress.
- Ability to float to Perinatal units if needed.
- Willingness to work most holidays and accept first-time traveler assignments.
- RTO requests must be submitted prior to shift assignment; no RTO in the first two weeks.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in low and high-risk labor and delivery scenarios.
- Familiarity with hospital systems such as SBAR, Omnicell, eMD Allscripts.
- Experience working in a high-volume OB hospital with neonatal and adolescent patient populations.
