Full-time, nights (3 shifts per week)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide labor and delivery nursing care in a busy OB hospital setting.
• Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs, utilizing external fetal monitoring.
• Recognize and respond to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.
• Circulate for cesarean sections and support obstetric procedures.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of RN experience in labor and delivery.
• Valid California RN license.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced.
• Experience using external fetal monitoring and recognizing fetal distress.
• Ability to float to Perinatal units if needed.
• Willingness to work most holidays and accept first-time traveler assignments.
• RTO requests must be submitted prior to shift assignment; no RTO in the first two weeks.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in low and high-risk labor and delivery scenarios.
• Familiarity with hospital systems such as SBAR, Omnicell, eMD Allscripts.
• Experience working in a high-volume OB hospital with neonatal and adolescent patient populations.
