Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized nursing care for pediatric patients in the Cardiovascular Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (CVPICU).
• Monitor and manage critically ill children with congenital heart disease, post-surgical needs, and complex cardiac conditions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care, including ventilatory and cardiac support.
• Administer medications and treatments such as ECMO, CRRT, VAD, and support for heart transplants.
• Ensure compliance with all facility protocols, provide family support, and document patient status accurately.
• Participate in rotating weekend and holiday shifts, with on-call as required.

Required Qualifications
• Valid SC or multi-state/compact RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric cardiac ICU experience.
• Current certifications in PALS and BLS (American Heart Association only).
• Willingness to float within scope as needed.
• Experience with VAD support and complex pediatric cardiac care preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM).

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Pediatric cardiac patient care, including postoperative management.
• Experience with Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD) and other advanced supportive therapies.
• Prior work in a Level I Trauma Center or Magnet Hospital environment.
• Knowledge of Epic charting system.
