Key Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during operative and invasive procedures by handling instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Prepare operating rooms, ensuring all supplies and instruments are sterilized, organized, and ready for each procedure.
• Monitor and maintain sterile techniques, ensuring compliance with infection control practices.
• Assist with patient assessment and care coordination, including post-operative handoff and communication with nursing staff.
• Operate and inspect surgical and sterilization equipment to support safe and efficient procedures.
• Perform biological tests on sterilizers, evaluate sterilization effectiveness, and maintain accurate documentation of sterilization processes.

Required Qualifications

• Current Certified Surgical Tech certification.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum one year of experience as a Surgical Tech.
• Strong computer skills, particularly with EMR programs.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and communicate professionally.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a surgical environment with sterilization procedures.
• Knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sutures, and OR equipment.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and adapt to variable surgical schedules.
