• Registered Nurse - PACU

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Days, 4x10-hour shifts per week

Key Responsibilities
• Provide post-anesthesia care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients following various surgical procedures in a Level I Trauma Center.
• Monitor and manage patients requiring invasive monitoring, blood product transfusions, vasoactive medications, ICP monitoring, and ventilator support.
• Assess, stabilize, and prioritize patient care in a fast-paced, acute care environment across diverse surgical specialties including Neurosurgery, ENT, Orthopedics, Vascular, Trauma, and more.
• Collaborate with the surgical recovery team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.
• Document patient care accurately using the EPIC electronic charting system.
• Float within scope to support hospital needs as required.

Required Qualifications
• Valid RN license in Missouri (or compact license accepted for Missouri).
• At least 2-3 years of critical care experience, including Level I Trauma Center experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Proven skills in critical care procedures such as blood product administration, starting IVs, managing vasopressors, dysrhythmia recognition/management, ICP monitoring, and ventilated patient care.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• EPIC charting system experience.
• Experience with inpatient post-op recovery in a high-acuity setting including surgical specialties such as Neurosurgery, ENT, Orthopedics, and Transplant.
• Ability to work within a fast-paced acute care environment with minimal supervision.

Additional Details
• Shifts are scheduled Monday through Friday, with no weekends, holidays, or call.
• RTO (Leave requests) must be limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract.
• The unit operates 24/7 with a dedicated PCT/transport team and 38 patient bays.
• Candidates must have a valid SSN, and references are preferred at the time of submittal.
• Travel and licensing compliance deadlines apply.
• The hospital is located in St. Louis, MO, with parking available at a daily or monthly rate.
