• Full-time, Day shifts, 4 shifts per week, 10-hour shifts (Days)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care for patients recovering from surgical procedures in a Level I Trauma Center.
• Monitor and manage critically ill patients, including ventilated patients, invasive monitoring (such as ICP), and vasoactive medication administration.
• Recognize and respond to patient dysrhythmias and other post-op complications.
• Administer blood products, start IVs, and perform phlebotomy as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and efficient patient recovery and transfer.
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including working across various surgical recovery units.

Required Qualifications

• Valid State Registered Nurse license (in hand at time of submission, or pending acceptable for Missouri, but Illinois requires an active license).
• At least 2-3 years of Level 1 ICU experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Critical care experience with ventilated patients, invasive monitoring, blood transfusions, and vasoactive drugs.
• EPIC charting system experience preferred as specified for certain units.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Level I Trauma Center, Phase I PACU, or similar critical care environment.
• Ability to recognize and manage cardiac dysrhythmias and perform vascular access procedures.
• Experience with ICP monitoring, blood product administration, and ventilator management.
