Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients in a Level I Trauma Center
• Monitor and manage patients with artificial airways, invasive monitoring (including ICP), transfusions, and vasoactive drug administration
• Recognize and manage dysrhythmias, administer blood products, start IVs, and provide care for ventilated patients
• Collaborate with the surgical and critical care teams to ensure optimal patient recovery after various surgical procedures including neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedics, thoracic, vascular, trauma, general, colorectal, GYN, urological, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and transplant cases
• Utilize EPIC electronic charting system for documentation and care management
• Float within scope to PACU or Pre-Op units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid state RN license in Missouri or a compact license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Critical care experience in a Level I Trauma Center or similar acute care setting
• Experience with invasive monitoring, blood product administration, IV placement, and managing ventilated patients
• EPIC charting experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous PACU or post-anesthesia recovery experience
• Experience with neurocritical care, ICP monitoring, and vasoactive medication management
• Cortical experience including Dysrhythmia recognition and management

Additional Details

• Shift hours: 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• No weekend or call requirements
• Guaranteed minimum of 3 shifts per 13 weeks
• Must have completed required modules in WorkRamp prior to start
• Candidates must meet compliance deadlines and credentialing requirements
