- Full-time, 8-hour days, days shifts Monday through Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient oncology and hematology patient care in a hospital setting
- Administer chemotherapy and other medical treatments as prescribed
- Perform patient triage and assessments
- Document care and procedures accurately using Epic electronic health record system
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient management
- Ensure compliance with safety and medication protocols
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of outpatient and medical oncology experience
- BLS certification required
- Valid NC or Compact nursing license in hand at start
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
- Ability to work full-time, 8-hour days, Monday through Friday
- Flexibility to float within hospital units or nearby affiliates as needed
- Must be available for hospital orientation and ongoing training
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Oncology and/or surgical background
- Chemo competency not required but a plus
- Certification as Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) is preferred
- Experience with bone marrow biopsies and hematology patient care
