Therapist - Radiation Therapist
Location: Marshfield, WI
Schedule / Job Type: Days, Full-time, Onsite, 5 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver prescribed radiation doses accurately and safely under the supervision of Radiation Oncologists.
• Evaluate patient response during treatment and communicate findings to physicians.
• Detect and report equipment malfunctions to ensure proper maintenance and safety.
• Assist in patient simulation and develop immobilization devices for precise treatment delivery.
• Monitor doses to ensure normal tissue tolerances are maintained and notify physicians of any concerns.
• Plan and verify treatment techniques using computer and manual calculations in collaboration with medical staff.
• Document all dosage calculations accurately in patient records.
• Assist with radiation safety, calibration, and quality assurance of treatment equipment.
• Attend to required training and ongoing competency to maintain role-specific skills.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiation Therapist.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least 2 years of professional experience as a radiation therapist.
• Familiarity with treatment machines such as the Varian Truebeam and CT simulation equipment.
• Experience with EMR systems, preferably CERNER and Aria.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Knowledge of treatment planning and tumor targeting techniques.
• Experience working in a radiation therapy department with medical physicists and radiation oncologists.
• Ability to construct and fabricate immobilization devices for patients.
