Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, nights, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and every other holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to medical-surgical patients in a 10-bed unit
• Collaborate with healthcare team members, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Utilize electronic medical records including Epic for documentation and order management
• Demonstrate competency in caring for adult and elderly patient populations using evidence-based standards
• Operate medical equipment such as monitors, bladder scanners, and telemeters to monitor patient status
• Ensure proper patient safety, comfort, and compliance with hospital protocols and standards

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year recent medical-surgical nursing experience
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current RN license in North Dakota or a compact state, or willing to obtain
• Experience with Epic EMR system

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a hospital with at least 250 beds, level 2 trauma center or higher
• Previous work with Sanford Health within the past 6 months and documentation of the end date if applicable
• Ability to float across various med/surg units within the Fargo campus
