Schedule / Job Type
Travel, Night shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week, 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered care in a dedicated Heart Failure and Stroke Unit, managing complex neuro-cardiac conditions.
- Float to other units and hospitals as needed to ensure optimal staffing and care delivery.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and neurologists to adhere to best practices and standards of care.
- Document patient care in the electronic medical record system accurately and timely.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and licensing requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in nursing.
- Active Alabama or Compact RN license (no temporary licenses accepted).
- BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or Red Cross.
- A minimum of 2 years’ clinical nursing experience; consideration given to candidates with 18 months of specialized experience under a professional license.
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working on a stroke or neuro-cardiac unit.
- Familiarity with Meditech electronic medical record systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-facing environment.
