- Full-time, Night shifts, 4x12 hours (Nights: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for labor and delivery patients in a Level I trauma center
- Monitor fetal heart rates, interpret EFM, and respond to patient needs during labor and delivery
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care
- Floats within scope to other units or affiliated facilities as needed
- Adhere to hospital protocols, including charting using Cerner system and maintaining certifications
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license in hand
- Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience
- ACLS, BLS, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
- Experience with EFM interpretation required
- Ability to work every third weekend and 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Willingness to float within hospital and to affiliate facilities
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Teaching hospital experience
- Strong fetal monitoring skills and experience in acute care settings
- Familiarity with Cerner charting system
